6th grade- collaborative watercolor assignment due May 21 and 22
6, 7 and 8th- introduction to final drawing.
Directions:
Media: markers, pencil or colored pencils
STEP 1- create a unique border around the outer edge of your paper (fill the entire border with a fun design)
STEP 2- Divide the inside space into 8 areas. The areas can be divided symmetrically (even) or asymmetrically (uneven)
STEP 3- Each space will represent an element of design that we have studied this semester. Remember to fill the entire space in order to earn full credit.
1- Line- this must be a basic or blind contour line drawing
2- Shape- draw organic or geometric shapes. Remember shapes are 2-D (flat)
3- Form- means 3-D. Your object must have height, width and depth! Remember your sphere drawings using stippling, hatching, cross-hatching and shading?
4- Color- you will need 6 colors for this space. 3 primaries ad 3 secondary colors
5-Space- draw a letter, box or building using 1 point perspective. Remember to use a vanishing point for accuracy!
6- Value- chose a color and shade form light to dark or dark to light
7-Texture-draw an example of a texture (EX: grass, shattered glass, orange peel, mirror, rocks, feather...and much, much more)
8- FREE SPACE- draw what you would like in this space!
